Sausalito Construction, Inc., est. 2001, is a luxury custom home builder and remodeler with projects throughout the Bay Area with a focus in Marin, Napa and Sonoma Counties. With a long history of exceptional residential and commercial construction projects completed both locally, as well as in the surrounding area, we are very familiar with the construction process. Making the building process comfortable and enjoyable for our clients is of great importance to us. Meeting with the local building departments, communicating with local inspectors, and fulfilling all requirements to ensure a smooth and successful process throughout the life of each project, are just a few of our many areas of expertise. Our old-world craftsmanship and business etiquette meet extraordinarily with the most current technology of the modern day.

Our team is led by three partners: Gale Greisen, Don Scheiner, and Stewart Perry. With over 20 years of collaboration, Gale and Don bring a wealth of experience and a shared commitment to excellence. Gale has been a trusted contractor in the new construction and remodeling industry for more than 45 years, earning his contractor's license in 1978. Don, a fourth-generation builder in Marin County, contributes over 40 years of expertise in custom building and remodeling experience. Stewart, who joined Sausalito Construction over a decade ago, has consistently delivered top-quality craftsmanship and an unwavering focus on exceptional client service. Together, we are dedicated to turning your vision into reality with the highest level of skill and professionalism.

 We have approximately 45 full-time employees with offices and warehouse facilities in San Rafael. Sausalito Construction has much of its own equipment, including skid steer loaders, dump trucks, excavators, and scaffolding, to help produce a more cost-effective project. Our experienced employees enable us to provide the right personnel at the right cost. 

We are fully bonded and carry more than adequate coverage in general liability insurance and workers’ compensation insurance.  We are also more than willing to make the owners additionally insured on the general liability policy.
